Drive Under"Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam"campaign Organized In GDC Ramkote

The NSS Unit of GDC Ramkote organised a Plantation Drive to commemorate Ek Ped Maa ke Naam campaign on 25thOctober,2024.The initiative was taken to promote the idea of cleanliness and Green India Plantation and aware students about the importance of planting trees to curb the problem of air pollution. Also, the volunteers adopted the saplings planted by them and pledged to take all the measures to protect them ensuring their growth into large canopy trees. Various plant species like Arjun, Guava, Amla and some saplings of shade giving plants were planted. Prof.Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the college planted Arjun sapling in the college premises. She also addressed the students highlighting the importance of such drives to promote a sustainable future. Plantation drives educate participants and motivate others about environmental conservation. Volunteers also planted saplings at nearby Mahakali Temple in Ramkote village. A total of 10 volunteers participated in the drive that was organised by Prof Anu Sharma, NSS PO under the overall guidance of Prof Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the college.
